READING BETWEEN
THE LINES is a service for writers who want to improve
their work or receive feedback from an independent, experienced
writer. Writing can be a lonely pursuit and it can be difficult
to get constructive comments from friends and family. This why I
recommend joining a writers circle.
In
conjunction with a writers circle a one to one appraisal is valuable
because the whole of your manuscript can be assessed in a much shorter
time and the comments are tailored to your work.
Although
I have a full time job I am the secretary of a successful Surrey
based writers' circle and was once the chairperson. One of my aims
as chairperson was to get the short stories and poetry of the members
into a professionally produced anthology. The first (pictured above
left) won a national anthology prize; the second was runner up.
My two novels have received acclaim from those who bought them.
